Legal Studies is a peer-reviewed open-access scientific journal that presents research on current issues in legal theory, legal history, and philosophy of law, as well as sectoral legal disciplines, including constitutional, civil, labor, criminal, commercial, environmental, financial, administrative, land, agrarian, medical, and information law, intellectual property law, and social security law. It also covers issues of procedural law, including civil, commercial, administrative, and criminal procedure, as well as judicial organization; certain aspects of comparative legal research and studies in the field of international and European law.

The history of the journal goes back to the last century. Since 1958, the University has been publishing the periodical Bulletin of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Legal Studies.
Today, it is a Ukrainian legal journal with a long history, serving as a platform for the exchange and dissemination of innovative legal research results among scholars and practitioners. It aims to support the development of the information society and affirm national, cultural, and universal values as prerequisites for progress and integration into the international educational space.
The editorial board members represent many European countries, including Ukraine, Lithuania, Croatia, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and Sweden. Among our authors are representatives of leading law universities and institutes, renowned legal theorists, and practitioners.
