Statement: Bulletin of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Legal Studies is a Ukrainian legal journal with a long-standing tradition. It serves as a platform for sharing and disseminating innovative legal research for scholars and practitioners, supporting the development of an information society and fostering national, cultural, and universal values. This is essential for development and integration into the international educational space.

The Editorial Board includes members from various European countries—Ukraine, Lithuania, Croatia, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and Sweden. Our authors include representatives from leading legal universities and institutes, renowned theorists, and practitioners.

The Editorial Board and Council firmly condemn the Russian Federation's aggression against Ukraine. We state that nothing can shake our belief in universal values, our European civilizational choice, and our commitment to defending these values.

There is no room for compromise in the field of law when it comes to human rights and freedoms. As a legal journal, we have always strongly condemned the spread of false practices and ideas, especially those that harm individuals' rights. We firmly represent the very concept of law and justice, equality, and freedom.

We cannot remain silent and appeal to all people of goodwill, to colleagues from other journals, to unite in solidarity against the Kremlin aggressors. We must shape public opinion to prevent the tragedy of war that threatens the civilized world.

Through this appeal, we urge the scientific community to unite against the unjustified and baseless attack on Ukraine and the assault on global values. We call for ending any participation in international projects, databases, publications, and so forth for those who do not share these values and seek to destroy freedom and justice, values that we have all worked tirelessly to uphold over decades.
